Cookies Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Softpath System LLC ("Softpath," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on softpath.net, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information about your visit, like your preferences and choices, which can make your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.
The three choices you can make
When you visit softpath.net, a banner lets you choose one of the following. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page.
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Accept All | Essential and analytics cookies are enabled. We do not use marketing/advertising cookies. |
| Accept Essential | Only essential cookies are enabled. Recorded as an explicit "essential only" choice. |
| Reject All | Only essential cookies are enabled (same effect as Accept Essential, recorded separately for our records). |
Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Can you turn it off? | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential / Strictly necessary | Lets the site run and remembers the cookie choice you made (cookie name: sp_consent). Required for basic site functionality, security, and load balancing. | No — these are required and exempt from consent under applicable law. | 6 months |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how visitors use the site (e.g. pages viewed, general traffic patterns) so we can improve it. Not enabled until you choose "Accept All." | Yes | Up to 24 hours |
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. We currently set only the sp_consent essential cookie described above. If we add a specific analytics tool (for example Google Analytics), it will only load after you choose "Accept All," and we will update this table to name it individually.
How your choice is applied
By default — before you make a choice, or if you choose "Reject All" or "Accept Essential" — only essential cookies are set. Analytics cookies are never set until you actively choose "Accept All," and even then are kept only briefly (up to 24 hours). This "off until you say yes, and gone quickly" approach is intentionally stricter than what most state laws require, so the same experience applies consistently to visitors everywhere in the United States rather than changing by location.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (for example California's CCPA/CPRA, and comparable laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states) may give you rights to know what personal information is collected, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You can exercise your cookie-related choices directly through this page's banner or the "Cookie Preferences" footer link at any time, free of charge. For other privacy requests, see the contact details in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our use of cookies changes or as laws evolve. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
