Candidate should have significant Cognos technical architecture experience and be capable of successfully delivering the following:

Candidate will be a key member of the data warehousing and reporting team.

In this position you will be responsible for the design and development of database and reporting solutions, using Cognos technologies.

As team member, candidate will also participate in the process to gather requirements and develop conceptual solutions with project teams and end users.

Systems and technology that you will support include: Cognos Report Net, Cognos Framework Manager, Cognos Power Play, Cognos Decision Stream, and Cognos Planning

Design COGNOS development architecture.

- Design COGNOS operations architecture.

- Support COGNOS development, operations and execution architecture.

- Support ETL interface between enterprise data warehouse and COGNOS.

- Design and implement ETL interface between enterprise data warehouse and COGNOS.

- Understanding of enterprise data warehousing, data marts, and data transformation.

- Experience with Cognos server installation, configuration, and architectural considerations.

- Data Warehousing Life Cycle and dimensional data modeling concepts.

- Strong ETL Experience with Cognos Decisions Stream and Microsoft DTS.

- Design, develop and peer review Cognos Report Net, DTS, Stored Procedures, and SQL.

- Thorough knowledge of the Cognos Architecture.

- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

- Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.

- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

- Excellent communications skills - both written and spoken.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills.

- Able to work independently to resolve issues.

- Able to work with a team to achieve common and corporate objectives.

- Able to work under pressure when time and options are limited.
